Brazil sailing vacation & boat charter about airfare

Cost of the airfare is varies from $620.00 to $720.00 depending when you leave. Don’t even try to find better. You won’t. I have negotiated rates with TAM and the least expensive flight through consolidators are at $750.00. just FYI Orbitz and Sides Steps propose the same flights starting around $800.00.

Note that fares are tax included.

Flight Option 1. If you are in a rush but want to make it to get to the sugar loaf.

Depart depart Friday April 6^th from JFK at 7.45 pm-arrive in Rio at 8.30 am.

Saturday afternoon and night in Rio.

Return Sunday April 15^th at 7 am!!! and arrive at JFK at 5.45 pm ready to crash.

In the mean time you only have taken 4 days of vacation if like a lot of us you have the Easter Monday off.

Both legs are with TAM (a Brazilian national airlines and an AA partner if you want to use your miles).

Arriving on Sat April 7^th at 8.30 am you the take a comfortable bus with AC (17R$) from the airport that takes you 2.5 hours later to Angra dol Reis where you meet me and the rest of the crew. You will please then take a shower, have a nap and we will party in town, come back early to have a good night of sleep before our departure the next morning.

Flight Option 2. If you have more time and wish to spend time in Rio. That is if you are a wannabe bohemian with no attach and some time to spend, like myself.

You depart like I will on Thursday April 5^th (or even before) with TAM (again an AA partner) from JFK at 9.30 am and arrive in Rio at 10.30 pm.

Return Sunday April 15^th (or even later) at 7 am!!! and arrive at JFK at 5.45 pm.

Cost of the flight $620.00 plus 3 hotels nights.

On Thursday evening upon arrival in Rio you go to your preferred hotel - see hotel options - and party with me all night.

Friday is dedicated to beach and visit of Rio and party again on Friday evening ( I have a friend in Rio who is going to show us around). Saturday morning we take a comfortable bus with ac (17R$) to go Angra dos Reies. We finalize the provisioning and get in the boat where we’ll meet the rest of the crew.

The rest of the program is about spending the rest of the time around these beautiful islands, their luscious vegetation, diverse flora and fauna. the itinerary will be chosen with the crew to please everyone. During the sail hotels and pensions are available all around for $20 to $30.00 if you want more intimacy or if you prefer to take a break

We sail back to the marina in Angra dos Reis on sat April 14^th at 11 am and disembark. We get in a bus and head to our hotel on Copacabana beach to arrive around 3pm. Quick discovery of Rio for those who arrived on Saturday morning, dinner in the city, party and finally some sleep in a real bed…

If you wish to leave from New York of Thursday evening or Friday morning or/and depart from Rio Saturday evening you can do so for about $100.00 pp. If you minus or plus the average rate for the hotel night, it might be an option for some of you.

You may also extend or leave earlier at the lowest fare possible that is $620.00
