| The Boats.

Yacht charter starts from  Marina Velrome in Angra dos Reis in Brazil.

Angra dos reis is located 80 miles south of Rio and easily accessible by bus or by car.

Please Note that these sailboats are normally offered for skippered charter with local skippers. You will not find them in the bareboat fleet of the local yacht charter companies.

BAVARIA yacht 49 - 50 ft LOA - 2006/2005 5 cabins, 3 heads

With a spacious interior, these Brazil designed and based Bavaria 49 boats provide unusually ample room and remarkably generous stowage for a sailboat. This makes the 5-cabin-version an ideal yacht for chartering families and crew up to 10 persons. High quality materials and professional handcraft combine style, comfort and expedience for elegant and efficient chartering. These boats feature great sailing qualities, reliable workmanship, perfect style and practical spaciousness for which Bavaria yachts are renowned for.

This yacht can accommodate 10 crew for a comfortable charter. It has two large double cabins located aft, each with it's own ensuite head. Forward there is another double cabin and two cabins with single bunks skipper style . There is a third head with a hot and cold shower forward.

Because as we explained these sailboats are normally available only for skippered charter with a local skipper, the Manhattan Sailing Club skippers will have to be present at least 2 days prior to the sailing vacation in order to test the boats and provide the charter company with their credentials. A quick sailing test and a complete navigation briefing will be organized by the sailing charter company due to specific regulations in the zone of the National park of Angra dos Reis. Manhattan sailing club skippers will have to bring the certifications of their first mates who need to be at the minimum certified for coastal cruising.
