| Equipment - What to bring.

Let's start with what you don't need

NO mask (unless prescription), snorkel, and fins. It’s on the boat.
NO linens and towel. It’s on the boat. unless you want one more for the beach.
NO hard sided suitcases (i.e. wheelie boards or Samsonite luggage... no place to store it on the boat). Soft sided bags are best because they go under beds and in small lockers. It’s also important to keep your luggage with you. Try 2 pieces max so that you don’t have to register them. That way they don’t get lost. Keep the most precious things with you at all time.
NO lifejacket… they are on board. Please no auto-inflating life jackets. You won't go through airport security where it will be kept and I repeat... we have life jackets on board. Simply let us know if you may have a size issue (especially for children).

What you need

SECURITY
Go to West Marine and spend $10.00 for a whistle and a Strobe (little light at night). These $10.00 can save a life. Do you need more explanations?
Also fill up clearly the Crew Info sheet and email it back to us . This is really important in case of problem. DO NOT FORGET TO TELL A FRIEND WHERE YOU ARE GOING AND HOW TO REACH YOU. Check number and emails address in case of emergency in the EMERGENCY section.

ALSO BRING
Sunscreen
Insect repellent
A flash light (if possible weather or water resistant)
Sunglasses (real one)
Prescriptions with your medications and refill
Your Ipod, your itrip (if you have one) and your charger because some Ipods don’t recharge with other chargers. Thierry is bringing a 12V to 120 inverter so your electronic equipments should work on board
VHF (if you have one) (2 portables + 1 inside the boat is a must per boat). Bring your charger
GPS if you have one (we love redundancy)
Rechargeable batteries (Thierry brings a charger)
Your blackberry (only for emergency)
Your favorite alcohol (We are not going to find always what you want locally)
Your toiletries (bring soap, shampoo and else – not on the boat)
Your own wine/bier opener (there is only one on board and it gets lost each time)

A dry bag is also a good idea as we carry cameras and other fragile electronic equipment in the dinghy where the climate is at time  rather... humid.

CLOTHING – DON’T BRING TOO MUCH PLEASE
2 bathing suits, 1 or 2 shorts/skirt, 2 pants 5 T shirts, 2 shirt (that you will not wear), and 5 pairs of underwear (that you will probably not wear either... Flip flops outside the boat, boat shoes on the boat (protect your toes -Keens Style- and may be one cool outfit for classy evenings.
Bring 1 warm sweater and one foul weather jacket if you have one (or rain gear works), one hat (that will not fly away) and sailing gloves if you want…

Books, and magazine, headphone to isolate yourself…

THAT' S IT… Travel light and keep your bags with you! Because we can't wait for your luggage to arrive if lost...
